I have some really great pictures to post. And hopefully that will make up for lack of content.

Declan...well he doesn't like sleep. I say this now of course after he has been sleeping for about 1 1/2 hours, but I mean in general...oh and especially ay night.

Declan likes to get up every 2 hours or so just to hang out or cry a little or eat a little. I call him the King of the Power Nap.

Declan had his six month shots last week and when weighed he was just over 20 lbs. Yep. That's right...just over 20. He is a big eater, but yet again another activity he does not enjoy is eating. He hates his high chair and so we have taken to feeding him in different ways. On the floor or in our lap or some location in which his scream is not making our eyeballs shatter and ears bleed.

Have I mentioned how loud Declan is? Hasan and I have both taken to hysterical laughter whenever one of Declan's screams are let loose in the walls of the house. It's like some sort of feeding call of the dead. Uhhh but he is just a cute baby you say!? heh....Live with him!! :)

Kadin continues to get smarter then us everyday. Using things like words and intelligence to get one by us. Then he has his typical 3 year old days where he says stuff like this: Staring at food splattered Declan in his high chair ,Kadin half-laughs and says "Oh Declan you're so gooey." I look across the room and say "Oh you mean sticky?" Kadin's reply? Half Laugh "No mommy."

That's it. No further explanation required I guess.

My sweet Daisy turned 10 April 3rd. Believe it or not she still acts like a little pup. Good news for me. :)

Declan got his leg caught in the sofa cushions one day last week. He had a blast jumping about and I did not have to worry about him falling or anything. He was like it for about 30 minutes. Advantage mom. heh

Kadin has begun wrestling, or at least attemping, with Declan. To some extent its just silly tickle play but we really have to keep an eye on him.

They love to spend time like this together. Kadin begged to have Declan in bed with him for story time and Declan was tickled pink to be there as well.

Declan sits now. He even manages to get himself into the sitting position. We figure since he is the size of a 2 year old this is a minor accomplishment! :)

As I said we are trying different locations for eating just to break the cycle of crying through the entire process.

So we forgot to take the camera to the fair but we did go last week. And after Kadin and I enjoyed painting for a few hours. He was very adventurous with his art and found a plastic knife to suit his artictic needs. Later after not having a nap all dat Kadin fell asleep while talking and drooled on himself profusely.

Here we find the self-described "bestest brother in the whole universe" giving his little bro a bath.

Kadin is a very intense child. Especially when he can use that intensity for evil. For example when we are in public and or it is bed time. He is a force and lives up to the nickname I gave him as a child - juggernaut.

Ottawa Visit

This visit has been a long time coming and we were all so thrilled to be going. It did not disappoint.

It was a fantastic trip and we were treated like kings and queen.

The Aqiqa celebration Hasan's parents had tirelessly planned was two days after we got there and it was a really great time. I met so many people and did not feel overwhelmed by the crowd for one minute. Everyone was so very nice and sweet. We were greeted with open arms by everyone. Also everyone was extremely generous and a million thank you's go out.

I could talk about the Norwalk virus Declan passed on to everyone but hey lets focus on the positive here people! :)

Declan and Kadin were spoiled the whole time and they loved every minute of it. Kaidn is still coming down off the sugar high.

Seeing Trina and Leila after so long was great too. We had a few nights together and each night was a blast. The boys fell madly in love with them and the ladies even took them for a date night for Hasan and I. Declan didnt quite cooperate but Kadin was a dream kid.

I met so many people including lots of Hasan's old friends. I would not know where to begin. So in an effort to get Hasan to post on this site I will let him tell those details and post those pics. :)

I do have a lot of pics to post so Im just gonna go there.

Here are all the pictures from the Aqiqa. The food was amazing and the clothes given to the boys to wear made them look like little princes.

Declan was still feeling under the weather so I did end up spending some of the party like this. It was my pleasure.

And one of the cutest pics taken that day was of Declan and Hasan's Harish Uncle. A dear friend of Hasan's parents.

They both made many friends. Justin was Kadin's "best friend in the whole world though". He would not leave his side. Declan is pictured with the sweetest little darling face Airah, Hasan's cousin's baby.

Kadin and Declan loved their time in Ottawa and these smiling - yet somewhat distracted faces - clearly show that.

Kadin received many gifts in Ottawa. Here he is pictured with a Superman just about his size and one of the cutest outfits I have ever seen him wear.

This is just one of the nights Hasan and I were able to enjoy out thanks to the complete availability of Hasan's family. They spoiled us as well. We went to Capone's. It was fantastic. However this was the night that Declan lost his mind on Trina and Leila. :(
