So much to say

Well we are back. I do not travel well. I have been sick and I have had a migraine. Its been rough since Saturday.

So many wondeful things happened on our trip but I do not have the energy to go into it all today. It was an amazing trip and we have lots of great pictures.

However there was some sad news. Hasan and I lost a dear friend shortly after arriving in Ottawa. Andrew Ford passed away and it was a great shock to everyone.

I know he is rolling his eyes at me right now and making some very hilarious, very sarcastic joke about this little entry but this is what mourning those we love is about.

We will truly miss you Andrew. I am sorry we could not have seen you before this....

And now for the funniest guy I have ever known, I introduce Andrew Ford. (More on Ottawa in the coming days.)

A Lot Can Happen in 5 Days

So I spoke about Kadin being sick. Turns out it was something out to get all of us and it certainly got its way.

Almost every surface of our house has been covered in vomit and or poo. The worse kind of poo. All the beds. The floors. Carpet. Sofa and loveseat!!!

Declan took his first night time trip to the hospital. Just to make sure it wasn't anything more then a stomach flu.

Within 30 minutes Hasan returned and I took my first ambulance ride.

Seems it may have been Norwalk. Yep indeed. Wash your hands people. A LOT!

Hasan was the saviour, taking care of all of us and only getting a little sick. Our hero.

Kadin is still off and on since last Wednesday. I am today only starting to feel slightly normal.

Declan is still off as well with some vomit and the poo stuff.

With an entire weekend lost to sickness we now have one day before we leave for Ottawa. It's crunch time folks. Last post till we return.

Kadin and Declan this morning goofing around.

Declan with an old hat on belonging to Kadin. Even at 5 months he has to stop using this chair. He reaches way over to the side if he sees a toy and he may tumble in it soon.

Are we there yet?

Just one week now and we will all be in Ottawa!!! (Well, on our way at this time) SOOO excited!! Everyone is. Kadin asks me everyday "Can we go to Ottawa now?"

I dunno Ottawa...can you handle their truth? heh Thanks Auntie Leila for the shirts!

That was a lame thing to write. Moving on. Yesterday Hasan had a work/business dinner at some fancy smancy placein whistler with his co-workers. He got home at 10:15 I tihnk. It was a long day. I got the boys down at 8:30 but Declan woke again at 12:15 and was up till 1 am. Then Kadin woke at 4:30 am after throwing up in his bed. He was stomach sick but showed no other signs of anything else. So it must have been something he ate. Anyways we got him all cleaned up and in our bed. I was smart enough to tell Hasan to bring the bucket into our room for Kadin but I was not smart enough to be the boss of the bucket. I woke about an hour later to puke next to me on the bed and Hasan sound asleep as I yelled at him for the bucket. After a long day it was indeed a long night. What made it all OK?

As I rounded the corner to the living room this morning Hasan had Declan craddled in his arms like a swing. Declan looked at me and smiled. Hasan said "He is so cute in these pajamas. I think I kissed a whole in his forehead." Sweet huh?

This is the cute little bed that Hasan picked out for Daisy. Kadin actually lies with her sometimes. He took this picture.

Declan is in the high chair now and gobbles up food as fast as you can give it to him. He is still fussy with the bottle though. Seen here is the aftermath of a difficult cereal feeding. I mean difficult but lots of fun. Even Kadin got in on the action.

Here is Kadin daring to be brave as always. He is searching out left over Halloween lollipops.

Kadin is such a gentle soul. I love it when he cradles my face or gives me a hug, giggling softly and says "Oh mommy you're so cute. Today he was holding Declan on the sofa and easily declared "I am the best brudder in de universe."

Kadin is crazy in love with Declan and Declan feels exactly the same.
