My time flies. Here we are at the end of the month - basically - and we have a lot to do. Well that's a misleading statement. We always seem to have a lot to do. May stem from never really doing them...who knows! heh
Hasan and I are nortorious procrastinators. So for our trip to Ottawa we are trying to be really good kids and get everything done on time so we aren't rushing about like fools. So far it isn't working.
Somehow in our plan we miscalculated and forgot we have TWO kids!! :)
It's this really idiotic thing Hasan and I do. We will sit at night - especially right before a weekend - and plan out the day. The things we need to accomplish, the places we have to go and the best and fastest way to do it all. Never works.
One of us will sleep in. Kadin will have swimming and is waaaay too tired from that to do anything except sleep. Once that nap is over its close to supper and since we haven't gotten a full groceries in like two months its off to the store to pick up what we need to cook supper. Cook supper. Give baths. Get them in bed and slip into coma on sofa. And that's just Saturday.
Let's review shall we and see exactly what was accomplished? Oh yes...OK...NOTHING!! hahahha
I am NOT complaining. We always manage somehow to get the important things done.
How does that wise advice go? Never have more kids then you have hands? Sounds good. :)
The boys are fantastic. Kadin had a dentist appt yesterday and it could not have gone better. I was prepping him all day and when he got there he climbed into the chair and opened his mouth. Hasan said he did exactly what he was suppose to do the entire time and listened really well. We are doing a great job with his teeth and he goes back in 6 - 9 months.
And guess what? The dentist was a freakin newfie!! A townie no less!!! HIGH_larious!!
Kadin came into the "repeat" stage awhile back. It was a lesson we learned quickly. Now we spell a lot and hope that we have a few years of that before its taken away.
So I have a few things here that Kadin has said over the last few days and things he has done.
Hasan and Kadin were getting Subway for lunch one day and Kadin was sorta milling about and not really agreeing or disagreeing finally hasan said "Ok let's go get Subway." Kadin sighed, rolled his eyes and said "Ok. Eat fresh."
Yesterday I was doing dishes in the kitchen and Kadin, as always, was walking around me. He had gotten dressed and was showing me he had his hands in his pocket. He said "Look mommy I have my hands in my pocket. What's in your pocket?"
For anyone who doesn't know the references its the Subway slogan "Eat Fresh" and What's In Your Pocket?" Is a slogan for Citifinancial Banking Credit Card (I think).
Also yesterday Kadin was playing with his doctor set and wanted to listen to my heart. He said "I have to listen to your heart and make sure there is one."
Kadin goes to the bathroom on his own for the most part but it still makes me nervous. Yesterday he went and I could hear rustling about so I went in. He had his pants pulled up but was attempting to stick a "mini" to his bum. "This is hard work", he said, "You do it."
Kadin tells us long stories. Ones he makes up including his friends. He has taken trips to the moon and in the forest. He has a knack for it. Even in the simplest way giving us a begining, middle and end.
Declan is growing so fast I can't tell you. He is a big baby. Although he is a picky eater he seems to still pack on the pounds. He is eating food now though. He just turned 5 months and he will defnitely be in the big boy car seat for Ottawa.
Which by the way is only 3 weeks away. Coming up very fast.. SOOO excited! Kadin even asks everyday when we are going.
Declan too, is a talker. When not eating you can hear him all over the house yelling and cooing and growling at us. He loves to laugh and its so easy. Declan is very jolly and a simple Hello will light up his face. The biggest smile always saved for Kadin of course.
Declan has lost a lot of his hair and not a lot has grown back. He has these sorta bald patches all over his head and the only place he really has hair left is on top....kinda like a mohawk. He does have one completely bald patch on the back of his head. Its really funny looking. heh
Ok let's see if I can finish this one today!
Oh before I put up the boys pics I wanted to say a big congrats to Darlene and Corey on the birth of their baby girl Ava Elizabeth. They already have their hands full with two boys! Now imagine the joy in that house! Congrats Guys!!
Like I said Declan is eating food now and this is the little high chair we got him. Its so cute!

Kadin can be rough with Declan. Especially if he doesn't have a nap. He gets all crazy and wild and we really have to keep an eye on him. But he is learning and 99% of the time he is any little brother's dream.

Here are the men of the house enjoying what free time I permit them! HAha Kidding! A little TV and a little Shrek on the new PC.

Thanks guys....

I always pull my hair up like this after a shower or bath. I pulled Kadin's up for him the other night. Pretty cute eh?

Kadin received this little Valentine's mug from his nanny and poppy. He now insists on everything he drinks being put into a regular glass and he then pours it into this one. Sipping on it like afternoon tea.

For the first time this night, Kadin decided to sleep with a number of his bears. Barely making room for himself.

This is Kadin pretending to be a lion and hanging out with his friend Simba. Ya know Kadin has a dirty face in a lot of his pictures. Someone should say something. heh

Self explanatory. I cannot wait until he is older.

And now Declan back in his favorite spot. Hasan got a great pic.

One morning while waiting for me to check email.

And now for the most gorgeous close up...Declan turned 5 months on the 20th. Time flies so fast.
