Happy Halloween
Some pics from our night. Declan had an appt at the doc today and he is 12 lbs! Yeppers....told ya he is an eater. :)

All Alone
Well nanny and poppy are gone back. It was difficult...but we came through. Kadin looked for them for a few days and still asks everyday...its hard but he understands.
Kadin is very helpful with his little brother. With mom no longer here - doing everything for Kadin - I have had to adjust to being the mother of two. heh
Kadin fetches diapers, clothes for Declan, bottles from the fridge...anything I may need that he can get. He is still pretty rough on Declan but we tell him to be gentle. Its only a factor of high emotion. Like he grabs Declan's fingers to kiss his hand but he does it with way more enthusiasm then is necessary. :)
He seems to be Ok with our new addition but we can see the jealousy at certain times and so long as we are aware then we can deal with it. Besides Kadin is extremely resiliant and smart. He knows whats happening....he may even be using it to his advantage.
So having Declan here has been quite the change like I said. He is a very different baby from Kadin. Kadin would sleep for hours and was pretty easy to take care of during the day in the beginning. Declan not so much.
He won't stay in his crib during the day. Sleeping only in my arms or on the sofa. He rarely finishes a bottle when you give it to him. Sending you running to the fridge every 30 minutes for an ounce here and there. Yes he is a snacker it appears and its hard to know what amount of food he wants and when.
Declan is more fussy then Kadin but nothing out of the ordinary. Declan is growing a crazy amount. He quickly grew out of his 3 month clothes with a few weeks and now at 6 weeks we have to go 6 months for sure. Unless you are talking about those Hai legs both he and Kadin inherited...then he can wear 3 month pants for a year or so. heh j/k
Ok so we should post more....but god dang do you know how much work 2 kids are? hehe Oh by the way BIG CONGRATS going out to Cora-Lee and Jeremy as well as Darlene and Corey who are both adding to their herd...and Darlene already has two boys....good luck girl! :) All the best from our family to yours...

Tale of two sons
I am too tired to write a lot. Kadin has become a singing machine and is constantly found singing a tune taught to him or one he has made up. LIke this morning it was his rendition of Hokey Pokey which included him saying "Shake your penis all around" Hahahaaaa...How can you not laugh your butt off at that?
His jealousy comes and goes depending on the level of attention Declan gets and who Declan is with. If its nanny or babu then Kadin can be found acting out in some way to get the attention he wants. Its all understandable and so even though we try to remain consistent we also relax a little when it comes to certain behaviours. Kadin is a good kid and deserves it.
Declan has grown considerable as well. At his most recent doc's appt - two weeks after his last - he had gained one pound, gained 1 cm in head size and head to rump length and actually grew 2 cm's in leg length alone. Pretty nice.
Declan also had his "little boy surgery" yesterday. All went well. He was a little grumpy but is recovering beautifully.

Grandparents time...
Bath time with Declan. Most times he digs it...other times, not so much.
Parents and grandparents chipped in to buy Kadin these bath towels. They consist of a bee, a shark, a whale and a turtle. Later I will have a pic of what Kadin really likes to do with the towels. Make other people dress up in them and talk like them. Its great...I have yet to be a victim. :)
