Things have been going great. Declan is doing really well and gaining weight like a monster. He usually gets up maybe twice a night depending on what time his last feeding is. I am nursing so I am always up with him. But Im hanging in there. Because we have so much help with all the grandparents its easy for me to get a nap here and there.
Kadin has been...well exactly how you would expect him to be with all the changes in his life. He has been challenging but nothing we all cant handle. Kadin has taken to screaming everything, throwing things around and defying us with every turn. But ya know his life is crazy right now. So many people telling him what to do and what not to do....I actually think he is handling it great.
When it comes to Declan Kadin is very loving. He wants to kiss him and hug him every chance he gets. He likes to run to the crib and check on Declan and is always found telling Declan "Its OK baby" when Declan is crying. He even went as far as to tell his nanny today not to touch Declan's eyes for fear of pokjng them. hehe
Ok onto the pics. Very tired. Must eat and sleep. :)
Here are a few of the love I spoke about. Just look...those are my boys. WOW!

Declan getting some well needed belly time.

Declan looking very cute here. Enjoying time with babu.

Declan sleeping.....I initially complained that he slept too much. I can see everyday that its changing. He has more awake time now.

Not crying...but sneezing.

Some time with nanny and poppy.

And finally our big boy being a pirate. Kadin has grown an astounding amount in the last month. Its strange that we feel a slight disconnect from him with the new baby and with so many other people taking care of his needs, Now when we look at him closely we can actually see that he has grown an inch or maybe even two in the last month. His vocabulary and grammer has also grown exponentially. Kadin easily puts together entire sentences and can even be heard correcting other people. He is such a little geek....

So as promised, here are a few more pictures of Declan and his family.
Our hospital stay was shorter than we had any right to hope for. We were released on Friday after only 48 hours, but were very happy to get home! My parents arrived on Saturday night, and since then we've all just been taking it easy and adjusting to life with Declan.
Kadin has just been amazing with him though. He is happiest when involved in helping the baby in some way, such as feeding him (a bit tricky), but more commonly helping fetch diapers or face cloths. He loves giving his baby brother kisses and hugs, so our job is to make sure he doesn't accidently sit on him or anything :)
Time is limited, but one funny thing to mention; Declan peed on his own face this morning. Heh.
Declan meeting his parents

Kadin waving to his baby brother.

Kadin was a little unsure on just what this new thing was, but warmed to him very quickly!

Nanny meeting her new grandson!

Kadin, full of warm feelings and chocolate, spends time with his brother.

Poppy meets Declan.

Mommy having a tender moment with her new little baby.

Me just enjoying holding him.

Kadin was very insistent on holding his little brother, and did a great job doing so.

Tender kisses for baby Declan.

Just look at that face, will ya?

Dadi gets some alone time.

Not sure what Abu was doing, but we think he was trying to eat his whole hand.

Mommy surrounded by her boys!

Tonia, Kadin and I are very proud to announce the arrival of Declan Dwayne Hai, born on September 20 at 10:15 AM. Declan was born at Lions Gate Hospital in North Vancouver, BC, and tipped the scales at 9 lbs 3 oz. He's also quite the fetching boy, taking after his father and big brother in that regard.

Tonia and Declan were released this afternoon, and so we were very happy to get back home to get to know each other. More pictures to come, stay tuned!
Tomorrow our little family grows by one. We will post once we are home with....you'll find out soon. :)
...less then three days till the new little guy gets here.
Until then enjoy these pics of Kadin's new hair cut he got earlier this week. Pretty cute eh? He looks much older now. Its amazing what Smarties can get a child to sit for!

...our little guy was born.
This was him back then..

..and this is him now.

We just can't remember life without him in it. But that's not even it. He's not just part of our lives, for three years (and many, many more to come), he has been the focus of our lives.
We go to bed each night looking forward to the time somewhere between 12:01 AM and 6 AM that he crawls into bed with us and clings to my face like a parasite. A parasite we love, of course.
Tonia: It is as they say.....time goes by way too fast. Kadin is now a little boy and we are putting him in preschool in the winter. Imagine? And another little man on the way...in less then 2 weeks. Life does not get any better.
Hasan: There is now a 37 week pregnant woman bawling behind me, so enough of the mushy stuff!
We had a wonderful day today. Last night we were up late decorating the place, and of course the devil woke up at 12:15 and then spent 3 hours playing with balloons. It was a very early start to the birthday!
Kadin almost exploded eating his Peter Pan cake and drinking chocolate milk. Actually, he's still on a sugar high 5 hours later, running has nanny and poppy ragged! Im not even sure he ate cake. The chocolate milk was his favorite thing. He even forgot there were gifts until we reminded him.
Tonia: We have decided not to put him to bed early tonite ...... although looking at him now and see how crazy he is, we may have to rethink it.
Kadin opened all his gifts with great enthusiasm and the basketball net and guitar proved to be huge favorites.
We have lots of pics and even managed to pull out the video camera. Here are some of the favorites.
We started the day early with a waffle "birthday cake".

Chocolate cake surprise....

Kadin even opened his cards with great excitement, taking the time to "read" what was written inside. Two of the cards contained money which he promptly gave to Hasan. Unlike me.....money really isnt his thing. :)

Other gifts he loved. His guitar from nanny and poppy as well as a microphone. Hasan and I gave him three truck sets and the basketball net.

Birthday pic with nanny and poppy.

Mommy loves you dearly Kadin. Happy Birthday honey bunny.

Through several stressful cancellations and rescheduled flights, Nanny and Poppy made it here! About 12 hours later than originally expected, but that's all behind us now.
Two weeks later, and Kadin has nearly forgotten about his mommy and abu. That is, except for when he gets his post-bath cuddle with mommy, or asks me to remove his sticky booger from his finger. Nice eh?
He's been having a wonderful time with them though, spending hours playing with them and going for at least one long outing a day. One day they went to the park three times, and they looked about ready to go into a coma.
Now to talk about our little fetal Pewfie # 2. We had our appointment with the Dr who has now scheduled us for Sept 20 (Wednesday) for a C-Section. The only sucky part is that it's at Lions Gate hospital in North Van. The carrot he dangled for us though was the possibility that after 24 hours, Tonia could be driven by ambulance to the Squamish hospital. It's all uncertain at this point though, as we won't know for sure until we're actually at the hospital.
As we get closer and closer to the due date, everyone is getting excited in their own way. Daisy sleeps a lot. Kadin sometimes tells Tonia to lean back, then pulls up her shirt and starts talking loudly to her stomach "HI BABY!!!". It's absolutely adorable! We've askled him what the name of the baby is. His top picks are; 1 - BOY , 2 - BROTHER, 3 - BABY, 4 - KADIN. In the last few days, KADIN seems to be gaining in popularity.
Tonia is uncomfortable, cranky, cranky and did I mention cranky? She's also a little cranky. I'm just kidding (I'll wait until she stops looking to say more...).
This past weekend we made the final baby purchases. Now we sort of get to relax a bit until the baby comes, as opposed to what felt like 1893102471027894109 months of being on the GO all the time.
Ok, here are pictures for all (ok, my parents and three of Tonia's friends)
Us just before nanny and poppy arrive...
