Keeping it to a min...

A LOT has been going on. Hasan and I got some news before Xmas and it is coming to life in the form of money owing. Blah.

I do not babysit anymore. A long story that should not be told here but most know anyway. It has been a few rough weeks and at the same time very exciting weeks.

Monday I start a new job and although I have the fan base of 2, I will take the advice of www.dooce.com and not say anything else about it.

This decision had to be made and its totally OK. Kadin already has a day care to go to. Its only 2-3 days a week.

I am real excited about this for a lot of reasons. Not that it won't be hard to leave my hunny bunny, but it means a lot of changes for the good as well.

Kadin is going to a daycare with Hasan's co workers wife. He loves it there and it is real convienant and familiar for us.

And besides that and 4 million other small disasters eveything has been swell. :)

I am a Liberal so to say I am even remotely happy about this past week's election is a lie.

But I am confident. It won't last longer then 2 years. And that's a looong time for the conservatives not to screw something up. The Liberals are a fierce opposition and I can't wait to see them in action.

And most special? The brilliant Brian Tobin was on the CTV coverage Monday and night and he did NOT say NO to running for leader of the Liberal party. Oh that would just make my year....he can take us to another long running victory. :)

OK less politics and more Kadin Cute Ass. heheh

He had a blast at the new daycare the other night. It only took him about 30 minutes to send the one year old little boy into a no sound scream from a kick to the face. Apparently it was an accident. The boss seems great though. She really knows her stuff and I have no doubt Kadin will love it.

It rains non-stop here. Truly. Not 28 days straight? Whatever! It has rained in Squamish since the beginning of December. But we have good days and I don't actually mind the rain.

We really are good parents but Kadin had his diaper changed and when he stood up the wrapper from his Fruit To Go was in his hair....and he was naked. hehehe

Week's End

Things do come in three's for sure. This week our three have been the good, the bad and the ugly.

Good news at Hasan's work. Great non-tantrum days with Kadin. A great dessert turned out for me (and I don't bake).

The bad and the ugly were reserved for only home. Just when I thought a day this week couldnt get any worse, today happened.

I know my mother and father in law will wince when they read this :) Sorry Ami and Abu.....but this week was shitty. Like swimming in a big ole' bath of shit.

OK not that bad, but rough. But we are strong folk us Newfoundlanders and Pakistanis....we shall persevere. hehe

So not much more to say really except sorry to those waiting on email replies or email info. Hasan is off this weekend and I will get it done . Promise. :) But these pics will more then make up for it.

More Xmas gifts Kadin received from his nanny and poppy. The headlights actually light up when he walks in them.

Kadin does this a lot. Closing his bedroom door and making a bed for himself between the gate (used to keep Kadin in his room ONLY UNTIL he is asleep) and that door. You see, the blankets are in the closet on his side of the gate. :)
I guess just his feet were cold here because he used only a pillow case.

We now leave the light on for Kadin at night. He likes to read and before we would find him sitting at the very edge of his bed trying to use the hall light to read. We don't really want him fiddling with a lamp so we give him the light until he lies down or falls asleep. I swear to you this pile is all of Kadin's books except for maybe 5-10 and he goes through each one of them just about every night. I go in after he falls asleep and quietly place them on the floor so they don't fall to the floor in the middle of the night.

Kadin did actually take this picture. He wanted to show what his poor mother cleans up about 15 times a day. :)

Kadin does very cute things at night when he should be sleeping. Finding this bike helmet, putting it on his head and coming into the hall where I can see him and saying "Mommy hat." is just one of them.

Happy New Year

Hey did I mention the other day that Kadin counted all the way to 13 by himself and only missed 9? Wow eh? Super genius I tell ya. :)

Well I hope everyone had a nice New Year celebration. Hasan worked that night but made it home about 5 seconds after the new year rang in. What a doll.

Ok here are some pics.

I got these pics last week of Kadin in the bath. He was loving it. In one picture you can see him laying on his back. That was the first time he would do that. He always lay on his stomach but this was a fist for the hack. :)

Kadin loves to play in this tent, and him Olivia even play there during the day. Problem is he loves to strip his bed and put all the bed clothes in the tent with him. At least the bed is easy to make. No more baby bed rail.

All my life we went out on Christmas Eve and looked at the decorated houses. This is us leaving for our trip Christmas Eve. As well we had the house decorated but I hated most of it. I did like the patio however so I included a picture of that.

And here is a real nice pic I took of Olivia. She actually let me put up her hair. Her mom said she wont let her do it. Very cute.
