Movies and Mahem

So Saturday Kadin saw his first movie - Chicken Little. Later he also had his first headache.

Back to the movie. He was amazed. Kadin did not blink for the entire 1.5 hours. He sat between his abu and I with his little bag of popcorn, on his little booster sit and he was enthralled. I think I spent more time staring at him then waching the movie.

At one point we knew he was getting it when a very sad point occurred and Kadin cried to break his little heart. He was truly struck by sadness. We calmed him, but even then he was covering his eyes and sobbing quietly. I cannot tell you how your heart fills when you see your child, who is just 2 years old, so innocently affected by a sad moment.

But truly it was all good. I cannot wait to go again and if he knew asking to go was an option, I am sure he would. Sad moments and all.

And now the headache. He just would not go to sleep Saturday night. Crying out for us and what not. At one point it seemed he was down for the night but he got up sobbing and wanting me. Only me too. Hasan tried but Kadin really wanted his mommy.

So I sat with him and read to himand he calmed down so I left. After a few minutes he began crying again....sobbing. I went in and as I rounded the corner to his room he pointed to his head and said "Head owie mommy". Then I got it. He had a headache. The movie, the late night, lots of popcirn while refusing to drink, crying....it all came together to bring about his demise into headache-ville. Alas it is hereditary and I am a headache getter.

Here is Kadin and Olivia playing in the office while I check email. Since Kadin got his new dresser we placed the old one in here. They are actually sitting together in one of the drawers.

Kadin found a dog chain that he loves and absolutely refuses to remove it. Last night he sobbed because I would not let him sleep with it.

I was actually having Kadin run at me from across the room. The second one makes his eyes look very droopy.

My god...how cute is that mug? DANG! :)

The other day while I napped Kadin woke too early from his nap. Hasan took him into the living room where he proceeded to fall asleep in the chair.

Many Pictures

The pictures speak for themselves....wait...no no....actually they don't. Allow me.

Kadin likes to stay in the hallway before going to bed. We put his gate up and all too often find him later sound asleep on the floor. In the third picture he has actually opened the closet and made a bed for himself.

Here are some rare moments caught. Kadin and Olivia being civil to one another. In the first two they are saying cheese to the camera.

Here are some from the pool last weekend. Kadin is so brave in the water. He will walk right up to his bottom lip walking on his tippy toes. He had a short melt down when the exact red ball he wanted was being tossed about by a twelve year old...but we got through it with a trip to the hot tub.

Have I mentioned that Kadin now frequently shouts the phrase "shut up" when he hears something making a lot of noise...like say a barking dog, or Daisy...or Olivia when she is crying downstairs. Yeah....heh...... :)

A Lion's Tale

So I have many pics to put up therefore I will keep the chit chat to a minimum.

We finally got Kadin's Sears portraits done. This past weekend was our second attempt. Last time we had a near fatal combination of a bad photographer and a hyper child. At least this time we got a good photog and we managed to get one good pic and two so-so pics. Kadin was really impatient with us and finally a book was all that saved us. :)

Halloween was awesome. Kadin was so cute. Once he got that first candy for saying Trick or Treat there was no stopping him. He totally got it.

Quickly though his Trick or Treat turned to a "CON-Deeee" squeal and a sweet thank you. Thats was good...everyone thought it to be quite cute. The little girl downstairs and her parents were with us. Olivia was a darling little fairy. Pics to come.

So here are some 2nd bday pics. Olivia has a very cute cake face. Kadin was estatic to get the cake AND be able to eat it. :) Here he is blowing out the candle and cutting the cake.
