Since being back times have been...ummm busy I guess. A lot has been happening and we find ourselves dealing with unexpected, outside "things".
The site was a total screw up until recently. No one's fault really. And then once its fixed who the hell has time to sit here and write anything? Not me.
Family have been wanting their pictures. I, myself would like to get our pictures done as well. Kadin is turning two next week. Hasan's parents are coming in 13 days. I have started babysitting the little girl downstairs - Olivia. Money is tight. (yes imagine that.... even after our SMALL wedding money is tight)
The last few weeks have been tiring, frustrating, annoying, disappointing and did I mention tiring? A lot of it is so very tiring.
Anyways I digress....
Kadin and Olivia have been doing well together. She doesnt really like to be touched and Kadin is very touchy feely but they are working it out. She is a very quiet, passive child; whereas Kadin is crazy, flighty and somewhat agressive. I am trying not to get involved too much in their disputes and let them figure it out themselves. Works great. :)
We are also now beginning the stages of potty training. Bringing up the peeing in the toilet like Abu and making it very new and exciting. So far Kadin is OK with it. Even once he attempted the peeing in the toilet - I won't give all the details...of course. He is waking with a clean diaper sometimes and I know that its a sign he is ready. Right now we are waiting to get into the big city to get a potty and a stool for him.
As mentioned before, Kadin will be two in less then 2 weeks. He only has a few little friends around so we thought for him we would take him to playland. Its the fair grounds right in Vancouver. Lots of rides and cool stuff there. Plus they have the PNE right now which includes more activities like the SuperDogs and parades. Kadin will like spending the day there I am sure. And Olivia is coming with us as well.
That same day we have to go shopping for his actual presents. I have to get him our present (a tricycle) and mom's and dad's present as well. An easel. And as mentioned above we also have to get the stool and potty. So it again will be a busy and tiring day.
Gosh do I sound like I'm complaining? Im not. It makes the days go faster and I like that. I mean somethings I could complain about but hey ya gotta know your place I guess.
We have another 400 pictures or so of our trip that we have put on the computer but I have yet to find time and the desire really to rename them, resize them, save them 10 times in different locations, write witty posts about them and upload them to the site. Too busy and only like 3 people read this site and Im pretty sure most of those people have their own pictures of the same situations.
As said before Hasan's parents are coming for a visit in about 13 days. Kadin and I are so excited. We really can't wait to meet them and get to know them. Its been a long two years and now everything is in place. I have so much to do before they get here. Everything from Kadin'a hair cut to cleaning to getting a new vehicle. So much.....but in the end the visit will make it all worth it.
Kadin has made some changes as well. He now puts words together in a more sentence like structure. For examply "No mommy too high", "No mommy no eat", "No mommy no bebe", "No mommy no". Hmmm do you see a pattern? Did I mention he is turning two next week? :)
Anyways I can't do a post with no pictures so here are a few I did all that stuff with and managed to get up before falling asleep on the keyboard.
PS - The title of the post below seemed OK when first written. However when I read it a few days later I read it differently. I hated having my site down and I blamed the internet. I was angry. I lashed out. I did not hate my wedding as the title might suggest to some. I loved my wedding, lots of people did. Let's be clear I did not hate my wedding. I hated the internet. *I* loved my wedding..... thank you.
Cute one of mom and Kadin on the balcony.

Uhhhh...and one of dad and Kadin.

Hasan and I saw this cariboo outside Trepassey. It was really far away but it looked up as soon as we stopped.

A tourist took this picture for us. Cute eh? The scenery is amazing. As we walked up the hill a guy was playing the bagpipes. It was so cool.

Hasan and I in Goobies.

Hasan made me take this picture. It was his idea. Im sorry. Its kinda funny though right?

Kadin is so cute. You should see and hear how smart he is. I just know he is a genius...a genius I said!!!!

Kadin was very....VERY tired here...

My aunt Wanda taught Kadin this trick. It worked well actually...it got him to eat and thats all we wanted.

This is my aunt Wanda and uncle Perry's dog - Shelby. She is a pure bred Gordon Setter. Here you can see how tall she is...same as Kadin.

Yes...there is a lighthouse behind me!!! This is Cape Pine Lighthouse in St. Shott's, Newfoundland.

I wanted to put up more pics but Im way too tired. Enjoy.
Hi everyone. Thanks for the emails about the pictures. It sucks that they are down. Hasan and I are working on it. It has been a busy week and this day...well this day has been long.
We should have it worked out by tomorrow unless something else comes up.
Thanks again....
We came back from this trip to find out we were getting a new web host. It was going to be a smooth transition. Did I not work in this industry? Why did I trust? BLAH!
I had an entire post written about the whole wedding and shit and as I was saving the whole thing...the server went down and took my post with it.
But its important so I write it again.
So the trip down was ok. We were 3 hours late by the time we got to Newfoundland. The flight was late leaving Vancouver. We were forced off the plane in Toronto. Thanks Canjet! The little Miss Canjet was suppose to call my parents in the St. John's airport to let them know how late we were. Three hours you see....it was 3 am in Newfoundland. Thanks Miss Canjet for NOT calling....
We got to Marystown with 3 days to spare before the wedding. But all went well leading up to it.
There was even an impromptu bachelor/bachelorette that Thursday. I have pictures to prove mine happened...alas Hasan does not. heh
The cooking and food prep took longer then I thought it would but I had some amazing help from Leila, Heather, mom of course, Aunt Denise and Aunt Delores and of course Trina. Hi ladies!
It rained for the 3 days leading up to the wedding and I woke to rain that morning but it quickly faded and the day was beautiful.
We had some surprises. Like unwelcomed flies on the chairs...nothing a little cleaning didnt fix.
The mayor was out of the COUNTRY until the morning of the wedding. I would like to say how nice he was and good he was to us but alas that would be a lie. He never returned calls we made. However his very nice wife did. He showed up minutes late for the wedding and then...THEN...wanted to ask me questions. Mom took care of it. And to top the sundae with a cherry he took our wedding certificate by accident and over a two week period, never returned calls or messages we left him about it. We do not have our certificate. Isnt that nice?
Another surprise. We forgot my ring until we were in the middle of the ceremony. There was some confusion about who was suppose to have taken it....apparently I didnt want Hasan to take it out of the house and then I forgot to give it to him the next day. (Hasan slept at my aunt's house the night before the wedding) So right there mom had to run into the house and get it. No biggie.
Hasan vows were beautiful. They made me sob and laugh....he made everyone laugh. :) He loved mine as well I could tell. :)
After the ceremony there was one last surprise. Leading up to us getting married and because I was trying every way possible to not have a formal event Hasan and I had joked we would have a tiered Big Mac cake. The joke became a little more serious and we even thought about it. Ya know tiered for the cuttin', decortated and all. People could eat from it when they wanted. Anyways I wanted it kept a secret and it didnt stay that way so I said I was not going to do it.
Well mom had another idea and she actually had a REAL Big Mac cake made for us. Like a real Big Mac. My Aunt Marion made the bun, mom took it to McDonalds home...to a Mr. Keith Roberts. He use to be my manager when I worked there and he is married to an in law of my aunt. OH and he now OWNS the McDonalds. So he took the bun and had it made. I couldnt believe it. Look at the pics. You wont believe it either. It was so funny and so awesome.
The party afterwards down to Dickies went really well. Hasan and I left and walked home around 1ish. There are many many many pictures. So enjoy. And let me know your fav.
The next two weeks were a blur.
The first one we spent going to the beach, driving the boot (The part which dangles from Newfoundland at the bottom is where I am from and they call it The Boot), there was a ladies night missed due to my body ceasing to function, recovering....and other such things.
We went out Thursday night with dear Trina and Leila. That ended up ebing a late late night but it was awesome.
The next day Hasan and I were off on our "honeymoon". We wanted to go to Ireland but couldnt do that obviously, so mom and dad gave us the car and we were headed to the Irish Loop drive. Southern Shore of NL.
After some coaxing, Tylenol and Gravol we were off.
We sort of took a wrong turn. Well we decided to take the wrong turn. We just didnt know it added like 4 hours to our trip. BLAH! It was worth it though. The scenery was amazing. We started out on the Cape Shore around St. Brides and ended in St. John's two days later. We stayed in Trepassey overnight Friday and then Saturday at Heathers. We had an awesome time and we have the pics to prove it all. hehe
The main part of the trip was the lighthouse in St. Shott's NL. Well when we woke in Trepassey on Saturday a wind and rain storm had come in and boy was there fog. Also somewhere along the line I got St. Shott's scenery and lighthouse confused. Anyways we saw the scenery and then found the road for the lighthouse. Lot of good that did us. The fog was so bad we couldnt even see the lighthouse. There are pics of me standing in front of it and you cannot see the Cape Pine Lighthouse. OH well.
We drove poeple crazy talking about Kadin and telling little stories about him. But that's OK of course. :) We missed him so much and could not wait to get back and see him.
We were at my parents for the Monday and then we headed to my Aunt Wanda and Uncle Perry's cabin. Kadin had a freakin ball. He had so much freedom. The cabin is a 25 minute quad or boat ride from Garnish, NL. Everytime I turned around I was drying out either a new outfit or a pair of shoes. The scenery there is amazing and I love it. Also lotsa pics.
After that we got home and it was a rush to get ready and come back to BC.
Kadin was a dream on the flight. I couldnt believe it. He only cried once in NL when we left the airport. Otherwise he never went mad at all. A real little trooper.
And now in a few weeks we are getting some visitors. Hasan's parents are coming here to visit and then two months from that - November - we are going to Ottawa. At least then we can buy Kadin a seat. :)
Enjoy the pics. Im so tired of typing right now. :)
The galleries are listed on the right.
There are many more but it literally took days to get these up and they were most important. Have patience with us.
We got married. By BC time we have been travelling for 16.5 hours. So tired. Many many many pictures to follow......soon I promise.
