I think I meant to put a post up here before now...I think I may have even thought I did...opps. :)
This weekend we celebrated Canada Day downtown.....now that's downtown Squamish people. We headed off to some...well actually we didn't know what to expect this being our first in Squamish...but it was eveything a small town celebration can be. Kadin got a balloon and watched some dogs...oh and saw a small parade which I have pictures of. It was nice to get out and Kadin enjoyed slamming into people as he ran about everywhere. "Watch where you're going!" fell on deaf ears.
Then Saturday we had some shopping to do down in the big city. We fully expected to be back by 3 but at 3:45 we were on our way to yet another mall. I hate shopping. It is a form of torture long thought to be something exciting and fun....BUT IT IS NOT! I have to say that Kadin and Hasan were real troppers about it all and we left with nothing we set out to get. Ah well....
Oh last week we had an interesting Thursday night. Hasan came home after work and decided he wanted a shower. He also decided to take Kadin in with him cause I was a fixin' some nosh.
The night took a drastic turn for the worse from this point forward. By about 6 pm Kadin was on his second half hour of yelling and screaming and throwing a fit. He was tired. VERY tired. I guess the shower was a bad idea. There really werent a lot of things that were changing his mood... we tried everything. So bed it was. We knew it was a bad idea..but we also knew it was all that would work at that point.
Kadin got up at 8:30.....9...9:30...finally we decided to let him stay up and work himself tired again and then we would put him to bed. That worked and he went to bed at about 10:30 stayed in bed till maybe 6ish. Not bad I guess....
We have also discovered the aforementioned "c" word means "rock". Kadin loves rocks and is always throwing, collecting and or admiring them.....the "c" word was rock.
This morning the TV was off and Kadin and I were in the room...I was actually trying to get a picture of my neurotic dog and crazy child together - results to follow - when Kadin left the room and high tailed it to the living room. Next thing I know the TV is on and Sesame Street is starting. He turned the TV on. I mean it isnt complicated...press any button on the front of the TV till you get it right, but just the fact that he got bored with me and ran out and turned the TV on....seems almost prophetic doesn't it?
So here are some pics. Enjoy.
Our Canada Day Celebrations!

Here is Kadin discovering how much fun an old baby towel can be. The best part? Running from mommy and not standing still for 2 seconds so she can get a picture!

Before and after shots of sweet Daisy.

Today I tried - as we have tried many, many, many times in the past - to get a cute picture of Daisy and Kadin together. I tried and tried to get them to give each other a kiss. Please see results below...

And then finally something workable....

PS - I would like to reduce red eye but I use Adobe "Photoshop". I put "Photoshop" in quotes because I wonder what type of photographic software provides no real way to eliminate red eye?????? Oh wait it does...it only takes 42.5 steps and then you STILL have to use a paint brush type technique. BLAH!!!
Not only can this child turn on a TV but he can also write programming code in 6 different languages. Well..... not really but he sure does love the "clickity click" of the keyboard and mouse.

And now for some miscellaneous pictures...and by miscellaneous I mean I am too lazy to continue writing headers for the pictures. If you would like headers please send a cheque or money order paybale to Tonia Green - Carer of Kadin. Thanks.

Because I did not write captions for the pics above I have mustered enough energy to say the following. A friend pointed out to me recently that she never sees any pics of me on the site. Basically its because I take all the pics....however I agree. And although I feel in most pictures I look like a tired ole' dog.....alas here I am with my sweet boy.
