Well we leave for Newfoundland in just about 24 hours. Four days from that we marry.
Its been a long road with many twists but finally Hasan and I will be husband and wife.....I was going to make some master slave joke here but alas insert your very own. :)
I am very excited but also terrified. The mayor who is marrying us is out of the country and will not be in my hometown again until the day of the wedding!!!!! He had even said we had to meet with him and now I wont see him until 5:30 Saturday! UGH!
I dont have many pictures today but here are a few. Wish us luck and we will have much more to write about and many more pictures coming soon.
Kadin likes to steal my makeup. Here he is covered in foundation.

This is just another wrestling picture I took while being attacked on the floor. He hates the sun in his eyes...although he appears pretty excited here. :)

I tried getting a few pics this morning to put on here but he just wasnt interested. This is all I got...and he is annoyed with me.

These grow in a pot on our balcony. A pot that was left here by the last tenants. I was going to replant it with some nice flowers...but I dunno...I like the clover. Good luck right!?

And here we have a sunset. Rare thing here given it rains way more then it should for the summer.

Our sweet little Grady? He was actually named after the place where Hasan and I met.
Hasan and I have thought about him a few times this month. Look at this face....

Nine days and counting....god I hate flying. Have I said before that I hate flying?! Scares me....makes me sick...I hate it. And now Kadin...well he is older and more apt to getting bored....and very bored. I could puke now.
Kadin does this really cute thing now where he thinks out every answer to a question. Let me explain. Hasan comes in Sunday morning and says "Kadin knows his ABC's to E." I'm all "Yeah whatever." At which point Hasan says to Kadin "A", Kadin repeats.
Hasan then says "What comes after A?"
(This is the thinking about it part)
Kadin slaps his tongue against the roof of his mouth, rolls his eyes waaay up in his head and says "Ummmmmmmm........BEEEEEEEEEE!!!"
I cried. Yep thats me. Im that mom. I cried. It was, and has since been, the cutest damn thing I have ever seen.
He did the alphabet up to E. Im not sure I got past his "action of thinking" to appreciate him knowing his abc's to e. And now he does this when answering most questions.
Enjoy the pics!
Here is Kadin getting in and out of his toy box as well as hugging Daisy.

Hasan finally decided to shave. Thank god. Here are four pictures showing Hasan escaping the thing that was "neck beard". You can see Kadin peeking from the bottom left.

Kadin likes to suck on the toothpaste tube. I have no idea why.

Here I took some pictures of Kadin in his "Attack Mommy" mode.

Here is Kadin eating a disgusting Spiderman ice cream. I didnt buy it. :)

Here are some pics of Kadin and Hasan goofing around. I like to call the first two "Fatherly Love."

But a quick story. Last night at about 2 am I felt the sweet little hand of my son against my face...WHAT!??
I jumped up and looked at the clock! 2 am!
Every morning Kadin comes into bed with Hasan and I. Somewhere between 5:30 and 6:15...but not 2 am. At first we were gonna leave it but i told hasan I thought we shouldn't and so I dragged him crying back to his bed. BLAH!
The amazing thing....I wake at the drop of a pin. I am a very light sleeper and how Kadin got into our bed after having to climb out of his bed, open his door, run across the hall, climb into bed and get under the covers...I just dont know. He knew he had to do it all quietly and boy did he.
One week from today we leave for Newfieland to get married.
WE ARE GETTING MARRIED IN LESS THAN.........YESSSS....LESS THAN 3 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(when its in all caps it means i am screaming *ahem*)
On a lighter note, Kadin has a new obsession. It comes in the form of a dancing, "Gambler" singing, guitar playing frog. We found batteries tonite and here is the evidence. Kadin can be seen hugging the frog, kissing the frog, playing with the frog...and this went on for about say...30 minutes. He adores it. Thank you dadi and abu jan. :)
Oh and one funky pic of Hasan. He told me to put it up!

This morning as we were getting ready for a day at the beach Hasan and I were both trying to get Kadin's attention again and again as he ran to the living room to watch TV over and over....with one final holler Hasan yelled "KADIN!" His response? "WHAAAAAAAT?" Hasan and I both looked at each other...I mean there was no mistaking what he said. Bad boots.....
Yeah today we headed to the beach. It was gorgeous and even though it was mommy's day to sleep in she decided it was better spent outside. So off we went. For some reason the sun was not as bright nor was it as hot at Alice Lake, but we stayed for as long as Kadin could stand it. You see we took him before he went down for his nap. We knew once he was outside he would stay awake, but after about an hour it was time to get our little guy much closer to his bed. Pictures below.
The cutest part today was watching how closely Kadin imitates Hasan. They were sitting on the blanket and as Hasan leaned back Kadin was very quick to do the same...although him being not as cooridnated or as tall he soon found himself toppled to one side.
And now pictures.
The other day I put gel into Kadin's hair and then I gave him the hair dryer. The result.

Here are the pictures from the park.

Some ducks flew in for a visit....

And here Kadin is throwing sand at them.

I had him follow me into the water and he almost immediately fell down. He found it cold. We took lots of pics at the beach. :)

Before the beach we had a picnic. Here you can see Kadin leaning to the side like his abu.

Doesnt Hasan look like a grizzly here?

This is his best go-on-the-balcony-so-everyone-can-see-you-outfit dontcha tink?

And now for his best bongo playing!

Here Kadin is actually kissing Daisy! And then Daisy running for her life.

Yesterday Hasan had to work on an assignment he has for a management course he is doing. Kadin was not happy. He wanted his babu and he wanted him NOW! Here is only one of the many break downs caught on camera. :)

And now for misc. pics - ones which I am too tired to write captions for.
One is of Hasan bringing supper home in the rain - god love Panago's!

I think I meant to put a post up here before now...I think I may have even thought I did...opps. :)
This weekend we celebrated Canada Day downtown.....now that's downtown Squamish people. We headed off to some...well actually we didn't know what to expect this being our first in Squamish...but it was eveything a small town celebration can be. Kadin got a balloon and watched some dogs...oh and saw a small parade which I have pictures of. It was nice to get out and Kadin enjoyed slamming into people as he ran about everywhere. "Watch where you're going!" fell on deaf ears.
Then Saturday we had some shopping to do down in the big city. We fully expected to be back by 3 but at 3:45 we were on our way to yet another mall. I hate shopping. It is a form of torture long thought to be something exciting and fun....BUT IT IS NOT! I have to say that Kadin and Hasan were real troppers about it all and we left with nothing we set out to get. Ah well....
Oh last week we had an interesting Thursday night. Hasan came home after work and decided he wanted a shower. He also decided to take Kadin in with him cause I was a fixin' some nosh.
The night took a drastic turn for the worse from this point forward. By about 6 pm Kadin was on his second half hour of yelling and screaming and throwing a fit. He was tired. VERY tired. I guess the shower was a bad idea. There really werent a lot of things that were changing his mood... we tried everything. So bed it was. We knew it was a bad idea..but we also knew it was all that would work at that point.
Kadin got up at 8:30.....9...9:30...finally we decided to let him stay up and work himself tired again and then we would put him to bed. That worked and he went to bed at about 10:30 stayed in bed till maybe 6ish. Not bad I guess....
We have also discovered the aforementioned "c" word means "rock". Kadin loves rocks and is always throwing, collecting and or admiring them.....the "c" word was rock.
This morning the TV was off and Kadin and I were in the room...I was actually trying to get a picture of my neurotic dog and crazy child together - results to follow - when Kadin left the room and high tailed it to the living room. Next thing I know the TV is on and Sesame Street is starting. He turned the TV on. I mean it isnt complicated...press any button on the front of the TV till you get it right, but just the fact that he got bored with me and ran out and turned the TV on....seems almost prophetic doesn't it?
So here are some pics. Enjoy.
Our Canada Day Celebrations!

Here is Kadin discovering how much fun an old baby towel can be. The best part? Running from mommy and not standing still for 2 seconds so she can get a picture!

Before and after shots of sweet Daisy.

Today I tried - as we have tried many, many, many times in the past - to get a cute picture of Daisy and Kadin together. I tried and tried to get them to give each other a kiss. Please see results below...

And then finally something workable....

PS - I would like to reduce red eye but I use Adobe "Photoshop". I put "Photoshop" in quotes because I wonder what type of photographic software provides no real way to eliminate red eye?????? Oh wait it does...it only takes 42.5 steps and then you STILL have to use a paint brush type technique. BLAH!!!
Not only can this child turn on a TV but he can also write programming code in 6 different languages. Well..... not really but he sure does love the "clickity click" of the keyboard and mouse.

And now for some miscellaneous pictures...and by miscellaneous I mean I am too lazy to continue writing headers for the pictures. If you would like headers please send a cheque or money order paybale to Tonia Green - Carer of Kadin. Thanks.

Because I did not write captions for the pics above I have mustered enough energy to say the following. A friend pointed out to me recently that she never sees any pics of me on the site. Basically its because I take all the pics....however I agree. And although I feel in most pictures I look like a tired ole' dog.....alas here I am with my sweet boy.
