See...? Now I am going to start this post and it has nothing to do with the title I picked. Moving on....
It amazes me the attachment Kadin has to his abu. I know the child loves us but when it comes to Hasan and him, I can see it...ya know? Kadin jumps with excitement when Hasan comes home, squealing "BABU BABU!!!" The hugs are endless and the attention he demands can be overwhelming.
With Hasan's paper route (now a thing of the past) Kadin would never see Hasan in the morning...well rarely. The last two times he has seen him has been emotional to watch. He can't get enough of it. Holding onto Hasan around his neck and refusing to let go. Cuddling him and showering his abu with kisses. Kadin adores his abu and every minute he insists on showing it, are moments filled with a lot of emotion.....my heart fills just watching it all.
This evening Kadin and I watched some of a National Geographic special about a river in Africa that flamingo's flock to in the month of July. Millions of them. Kadin was enthralled and would bark at me if he thought for one minute I was changing it. At one point he walked up to the TV and hugged it making the "UHHHHH" sound. However when the baboons started eating the birds mommy had to change it. His screaming for 2 minutes was better for me then watching the bird being eat....well nevermind.
An now onto the pics.
Kadin had his first experience with the ice cream man the other day. The pics are a little distant but you can see. Usually Kadin just dances to the music of the truck!

I guess watching mommy exercise isnt that exciting!

I believe Kadin's hat has become his "blanky" or "teddy". He really must wear it at all times.

Kadin and I spent some time at the river this morning. It was beautiful outside and it gave abu time to sleep. We started down the path and Kadin ran the whole time....even when his shoe fell off. Then it was a game of chase for him as I tried to catch him and put it back on. :)

Kadin loves to throw rocks in the water (well actually he likes to throw rocks everywhere YIKES) and sometimes he can get a little close. Like this morning when the first thing he did was charge into the river. Oh well he didn't mind the wet sneakers. Never fear grandparents, the river is about 1 inch deep. :)

I like to call the following two "What drool?"

This is why we moved....yes there were other reasons...but for me this is it. City living does not even compare to this! Look at what Kadin can do. Beautiful.

And now please excuse me while I convince myself I have even an inkling of photographic talent. heh
