What day is it again?

Funny how 9 days can just kind of slide by, eh?

It's even funnier that I have sat here for about 5 minutes staring at that first sentence, hoping something funny and/or witty will come to me, which will in turn start the creative juices flowing!

Unfortunately, that isn't the case.

I mean, it's not that Kadin didn't do ANYTHING in the past week. I guess it's because every day he does something new and wonderful, that trying to summarize more than a days worth of activity is a terribly difficult undertaking.

5 more minutes..

Ok, my brain is mush right now. Something to do with getting up at 4:55 AM and trying to keep from slipping into a coma, I'm sure. Heh...speaking of which...

We had a terribly busy day today. The morning was spent at the laundromat doing 85 loads of laundry, then going around town to do a few other chores. Other than a brief stop for Kadin's lunch, we were on the go from 9 AM to about 3. By 4, I was lying face down on the floor with one arm twitching just enough to keep Kadin entertained. It was working for a surprisingly long period of time (maybe 10 minutes?). I'm sure I was asleep though, when Tonia (who was on the couch) called out "Hasan, HASAN! Kadin just threw up".

Now this story is funny/pathetic enough that you really have to focus on the visual. Kadin sitting there, happy as can be, with throw up over his chest and on the blanket in front of him. A few inches next to the throw up is yours truly, lying face down on the floor and kind of flopping his arm around.

Ok, glad I was able to share that!

So earlier this week Tonia showed me that Kadin is very happy to dance when music is playing. Somehow he mashed the home theatre remote so that whatever CD was in there started playing. Tonia started dancing for him, and then he started mimicking her moves. Essentially he bent his knees a little and kind of bounced up and down, with a HUGE grin on his face the whole time!

(Tonia would like it to be known that she was not dancing that way, so technically he was not mimicking her moves. She also had a bunch of other things to say about this subject, but I'll let her put her own damn post up!)

Sort of like how I dance, except for there being no grin and..well, I don't dance.

He also ate steak and potatoes for supper!

Ok, remember that whole mental block I wrote about? Well apparently through some mystical process of transference, Tonia is just BRIMMING with things for me to talk about! She's sitting behind me calling out "TELL THEM ABOUT THE VASOLINE IN HIS HAIR! TELL THEM ABOUT WHAT WE BOUGHT!"

So...over to you Tonia!
