Brazen...

Ok Ok so it is my turn and I am somewhat late. I think I was shocked after reading www.dooce.com. I thought Hasan and I were somewhat amusing on this site and that we wrote rather well but I was shamed by the creativity of this site. If you have a chance check it out. VERY funny and well done.

Anyways yes yes the vasoline. I'm not sure if we mentioned this previously but Kadin likes to "explore" when having his diaper changed. So vasoline inevitably gets on Kadin's hands. I always make sure to wipe it off when diaper change time has ended. Hasan does not. So we spent the entire Saturday of shopping with Kadin's hair slick with the greasy substance. Im the only one who cared really....so moving on.

I titled this post brazen cause I believe my son is just that. He had spent weeks saying no to everything. As in "Kadin want lunch?" His response "No no no no no no no no..." He is just testing the word. He really was hungry......I think.

So now its yeah instead of no. Yesterday while in the tub he was trying to stand. At the very moment I am lecturing him on sitting and telling him no, Kadin is yelling directly at me "YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH..." I actually had to talk over him. I think thats brazen right?

Kadin has newly taken an interest in the books we buy him. Previously his attention span was .000000012 seconds but now he will listen and watch as you read the book. Sometimes he tries to eat the books but even that is a step in the right direction, right?

Oh and our dirty little secret....Kadin has a doll. It was a doll we bought when I was pregnant but he has taken a real liking to it. He pokes its eyes, carries it around, laughs at its jokes.....(ok that was almost as witty as www.dooce.com...wasnt it?) I actually dont mind. I think it will be beneficial if Has and I decide to have more kids. And shouldnt every little boy have a doll? I think so....seriously. Its NOT a dirty secret.....I take that back...we are PROUD...PROUD DAMMIT.

Update from Hasan: The doll was Tonia's idea. I wanted to get him guns and Dungeons & Dragons books....

So we called Air Canada the other day to check in on a few things. I thought it would be smart for me to have all aisle seats for our flight. Easier for me with the little guy. Done. Then we asked about the stroller and what one I was allowed. Turns out it has to be the umbrella one. Hopefully our "little" guy will fit. And THEN the chicky tells me I WONT be getting it in Montreal. WHAT? Two hours with a baby alone and no stroller are you f!@king mad lady? But she seemed to be pretty sure of herself.

I called back later and asked to speak to the smartest person they had on staff. After an hour of searching, they had me speak to a mother.

She assured me I would get my stroller if I sky check it. And I HAD to MAKE sure I said SKY CHECK when I checked in, otherwise Air Canada staff would be baffled and might send my stroller to Newf via boat. Dumb-de-dumb-dumb.... I was seconds from cancelling the trip. Idiots.

Please note this section of the post was to show how Air Canada can be so helpful and intelligent when asked the same question 4 times. Please dont sue me.

Kadin is chewing on his toy box. Gotta run.
