We're back!

We've actually been home a few days now. Got back in at around 8:30 PM on Monday, roughly 17 hours after starting our trip. Ungh.

The flight to Newfoundland was actually a billion times better than we had expected it to be. The short flight from Abbotsford to Calgary (1 hour 20 minutes) was Kadin's first, but he actually slept through most of it. Even the next 10 or so hours were awesome. His ears didn't bother him, landing/taking off were a breeze. Woo!

We landed @ 9:40 PM Newfoundland time but still had about a 4 hour drive from St. John's to Tonia's hometown of Marystown. That's when about a month and a half of flying finally caught up with Kadin (as well as some trapped gas), which led us to pull over several times to try and calm him down. After about an hour he was fairly well settled so we continued on through a blizzard and some Caribou crossing the highway.

At 4 AM we pulled into Tonia's parents house to be greeted by her brother Dwayne and his girlfriend Erin. Good times were had by all, then we went to bed and slept for 9 minutes.

By now, the 2 week trip is running all together in my head, so please forgive me if I don't list each individual event. Some highlights though:

1 - Kadin was officially abducted by his Nanny, who is only now just loaning him back to us until she sees him again.

2 - Kadin was made into a Montreal Canadians fan through the efforts of his Poppy & uncle Dwayne.

3 - He was able to meet several great-aunts & great-uncles (or ganties and guncles, as I decided to call them), and also met and spent some time with 3 of his great grandparents (Nan & Pop Hanrahan and Nan Green).

4 - Tonia's uncle Gerard inducted me into the local Marine Workers union. Ok, so he just gave me a hat, but that has to count for something!

I actually can't think of any more right now, but the 6 rolls of film we took might jog my memory at this point.

Both Tonia & I have been completely exhausted since coming back since Kadin is only now just returning to life in this timezone. He was going to sleep at 7 PM and waking up at 1 AM...which really, really sucked.

Time now for Kadin's lunch, but be sure to check out the new pictures!

Oh...Tonia actually put up a lengthy post this morning, but then accidently deleted it when she put up the second post about the pictures being up. Muahahahaha.
