Hasan did a wonderful job summarizing our trip but there are some things I would like to mention that he let slip his mind.
We had a lot of celebrating to do when we got home. Almost right away we realized it was Kadin's great grandparents Hanrahan's anniversary (does that read confusing? oh well...whatever:)) so off to the local chinese reataurant we all went to celebrate. That's actually where Kadin met a lot of his gauntie's and guncle's for the first time. They were gushing over him and he loved every second of it.
Soon after that the extended family joined us at Kadin's nanny's house for a little get together. This is where our dear friend Heather came out to visit from St. John's. She braved life and limb to be there. Honestly Heather I had no idea the roads were that bad. We love you for it. :)
Kadin also got to meet his mommy's friend Danielle. She was home in Marystown for a little trip from town. It was Danielle's mom who knit Kadin the beautiful Salt-n-Pepper hat and matching sweater. She too gushed and Hasan and I loved every minute of it. heh
All of us were lucky enough as well to have Kadin's gauntie Wanda and guncle Perry cook us a wonderful turkey supper. Yummy...I could eat it all again right now!! WOOT! Oh and his second cousin Victoria loved changing his poopy diaper...right? OK no I kid! :)
And last but certainly not least Kadin's nanny had her 45th birthday when we were home. We decorated the house, had a great cake and ate an amazing supper...BBQ no less in that wonderful Newfie weather. heh Kadin was allowed to dish into nanny's cake and we have the pics to prove it. His nanny said it was the best bday she has ever had. YEH us!!
And finally to any other parents out there reading this...BUY BABY EINSTEIN!! It has been a saving grace for us over the last few days. Kadin absolutely adores it and can watch it for hours!! We have the Baby Mozart and Baby Beethoven dvd's. Take this advice...its good stuff. :)
OK off I go. Lunch time for the little one.
