So Kadin is just about 5 months old. Will be on the 8th of Feb.
Last night I stood him up on our bed and put his hands on our headboard to hold onto. He held on tight. I held him in position. I then realized he didn't need me.
YES last night at a little under 5 months of age our little guy held himself up and stood by himself on our bed!!!! I couldn't believe it...
We took about a ka-zillion pics and will have those up in a few days!!! YEH Kadin!!!
After speaking with Hasan and the tech guy who hosts the site for 2 days and NOT getting anywhere...I figured it out all by myself.

Well its been awhile...yeah yeah we suck at updating but time is difficult to find. Last week on Tuesday Kadin had his 4 month needles. Well I was really nervous.... even the nurse explained to us how he would be more aware and what not. Soo we go in and she shows me how to hold him down. After I stopped crying she showed me again. OK no I didn't actually cry...
I had to pin one of his arms under mine and hold the other with my free hand. AND THEN she showed me how to secure his legs between my knees...*sigh*. I was terrified but stayed happy and smiley for Kadin.
He cried. A lot. And it was loud and piercing. The nurse spoke of how the kids hate her afterwards and won't look at her and what not.
Well 30 seconds after our kid had his needles, he was smiling and laughing with the nurse. She was floored. She could not get over how happy and pleasant our little guy was...and is.
Kadin always has a smile for us and anyone he meets. He really is a fantastic child...very bright, smart, determined, willful and absolutely gorgeous.
OH at the appointment the nurse weighed him and he was 19 lbs and 11 oz. AND had grown 10 cm's since he was born.
Our trip to Newfoundland is drawing near. Less then 3 weeks from now. YEH!! We are all excited...nervous...but excited.

So Kadin had his 4 month appointment yesterday at the doc's. The first thing I would like to say is how good he was in the office. We were waiting for almost an hour and Kadin never once got upset or anything. He was laughing, screaming and playing with his rattles. What a star! :)
So our little (and I use that word lightly) boy is exactly 19 lbs. His height is above average and his head size is normal. The doc said he was very healthy and a very happy little boy. She was impressed. For anyone who isn't sure Kadin was 4 months on Thursday.
Other updates I wanted to make include Kadin fighting all the time to sit on his own. He isn't quite there, but boy does he give it all he got! A few days ago I sat him up and he was able to maintain it for a short period of time but quickly fell to the side. He is such a determined little guy.
Kadin also tries really hard to hold his bottle. He is almost there...he can hold it but his aim to get it in his mouth is a little off.
And finally one of his favorite things to do is stand up on Hasan's or my lap as we hold him by the waist. He jumps up and down, screams, laughs....he loves it. We have even thought of getting im a jumper of some sort. We shall see.
Well someone has woke up and is calling my name....heh.
Hey y'all. All of Kadin's Christmas pictures are up now. That is to say the ones we took ourselves. Still have not gotten around to putting up all the Sears ones yet...just takes too much effort right now to take them down off the wall and all that jazz. I think most of you have seen them all at this point anyways.
So enjoy. Kadin has a doc's appt this Fiday. Four months already..PHEW. Time flies.... We will do an update then I'm sure.
Today Kadin took a big step toward becoming a little boy. He nearly ate his first booger.
I was happily changing his diaper when I spotted a booger dying to be released. I rubbed downwards on his nostril to get it out. When I looked at my finger it wasn't there. I looked down at Kadin and saw it sitting on the inside part of his bottom lip. heh Remember I said he nearly ate one....
Well for those of you who do not know, Hasan, Kadin and I are going to Newfoundland in February, the 15th to be exact. Everyone is very excited especially us. It is very important to me that Kadin meet everyone while he is still young and not nervous or shy.
It will be a short visit but an ecellent one nonetheless.
