Suck-a-thumb

I think that's what my family called me for years. Yes I did suck my thumb...and for way too long. Probably cause everyone wanted me to stop so badly it seemed. Even then I rebelled. :) Well I don't know if it's hereditary but I may have a case that says it is.

Yes my beloved son Kadin spends much time everyday trying to get that thing into his mouth. It's funny to watch actually. I mean I feel bad for laughing my ass off at him but I can't help it. I don't know if you can picture it....

.....his arm extended as he looks in the complete opposite direction of the thumb location. He struggles to bring the hand close to his face...sometimes he misses....other times he pokes himself in the eye or nose.....and then other times he nails it.

Gets that thumb right in there he does. However at this point, Kadin does not know his thumb, he wants so desperately, is attached to his hand which is attached to his arm...his arm that he immediately pulls away after he believes himself to be successful. heh

Maybe it's a "You had to be there" situation....

Should I feel guilt for laughing so hard? Should I be helping him with this? I don't think so. I mean he doesn't *really* know I'm laughing at him and he has to learn on his own right? Let it be said though I won't call him a suck-a-thumb.

Oh and the good news this entry...Kadin seems to be falling into a routine. Up at 6ish...eat...back to bed till 10ish....bath...eat...short nap....eat around 2:30ish...nap till 5ish...eat at 7ish...nap till 11ish...quick snack and then off to bed for another day. Of course there is lots of awake time in here.

Hmmmm do all the "ish's" really mean its a routine? I think so. :)
